In August 2012 YOUTHinkGreen Namibia took part in the first Namibia Climate Change Knowledge Fair at the Habitat Research & Development Centre (HRDC) in Katutura.

Tracy Hoxobes hands over a green thread to Hon. Minister Nandi-Ndaitwah
This was a great opportunity to introduce YOUTHinkGreen to a broader public, but also to hand over a green thread to the Minister of Environment and Tourism, Hon. Nandi-Ndaitwah.

Afterwards the Minister spoke to and about YOUTHinkGreen for about ten minutes. If you would like to hear what she had to say, please click here.
In the afternoon YOUTHinkGreen was granted a one hour slot in the ‘Youth Hub’ to present their initiative.
After a twenty minutes general presentation of the aims and motives of YOUTHinkGreen, it was time for group work. The audience was divided into five small groups which had to work on five Working Tasks. The tasks had been prepared by the students of YOUTHinkGreen Namibia in advance.
With the help of two tutors per group, the results were presented after half an hour.
For the students of YOUTHinkGreen Namibia this was a very valuable experience, as it forced them into the position of guiding the group into the right direction by applying knowledge they had already acquired.
