On 13 August 2012 BEN (Bicycle Empowerment Network, Namibia) called in a  meeting for public engagement on Windhoek’s public transport planning process!

In the same timeline as our field project mobility is taking place, GIZ together with the Ministry of Works and Transport plan to deliver a Sustainable Urban Transport Master Plan for the city of Windhoek. Deadline is March 2013.
YOUTHinkGreen is planning to play an active role in the development of such a plan. Apart from that we think that the sustainable transport concept which we develop for our school can be a forerunner to plant the idea of sustainable transport successfully into the minds of Windhoek’s inhabitants.
